On Saturday (August 25), hundreds of students from Regular Class B of Universitas Widyatama for the 2018/2019 academic year attended the University Introduction Program (PPU) at the Widyatama Auditorium Building (GSG). The PPU is a technical orientation program for regular B students on the use of online learning facilities from the Widyatama Information Technology Center (PTI), the re-registration process from the Widyatama Academic Administration Bureau (BAA), and the use of learning support facilities.
The event began with the singing of the Indonesian national anthem, followed by a briefing and remarks from the Rector of Widyatama University, Dr. H. Islahuzzaman, S.E..M.Si., Ak., CA. The Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Planning and Cooperation, Prof. Mohd. Haizam Bin Mohd. Saudi, and the Vice Rector for Operations, Human Resources and Finance, Djoko S. Roespinoedji, S.E., PG. DIPL.
In his speech, the Rector said that Universitas Widyatama is ready to produce graduates in line with the vision that was set out at the beginning, namely to produce human resources who are virtuous, professional in their fields, and able to adapt to developments in science, technology, and the arts in a global environment.
Meanwhile, Prof. Haizam welcomed all new Regular B students for the 2018/2019 Academic Year. In his speech, he said that it was only fitting for Widyatama to produce graduates with noble character in accordance with Widyatama’s vision and mission.
In terms of facilities and learning, Djoko said that students were welcome to use the facilities available at Widyatama, ranging from the sports center in the PKM Building, the integrated library, the food court, to the classrooms, but they must maintain cleanliness and order. Widyatama is committed to being a smoke-free campus.
At the end of the session, all new Regular B students were directed to a photo session for their Student ID Cards (KTM). In the future, Widyatama students will be able to use their KTM cards for both academic and non-academic activities. (Ed)
