Widyatama Lecturers Empower Economic Potential of Ciater Residents Through Community Service Program

Thursday (23/3) Lecturers at the Faculty of Business & Management, Widyatama University, organized the community service activities in Ciater, Subang Regency, West Java. This activity was an annual routine, but on this year’s occasion, the Faculty of Business & Management Collaborated with several levels of Programs and Study Centers and collaborations with the University of Subang. The work units involved include the Widyatama Postgraduate School Program (SPS), P3IMB UTama and the Team from the University of Subang participated in the success of this event to increase friendship and solidity among peers.

Community service activities this time were held at the hall of the Cisaat Village Office in Subang Regency, attended by all leaders and local official government, a team from the University of Subang as well as several SMEs (small & medium enterprises) who were the object of questions about business development to increase competitiveness & purchasing power to empower the local economy.

The event began at 8:30 a.m. by opening Suryana as the Head of the Cisaat Village plus a number of remarks from the PKM committee chairman (Mrs. Adjeng Mariana) and remarks from the chairman of the Sub-University LP2M (Mr. Ujang). After the opening program was finished, then continued with the main explanation about the material of counseling for SMEs (small & successful businesses) Cisaat Village coordinated by Mr. Ismail Solihin in accordance with their respective fields of study, namely the field of marketing aspects study, the field of study of entrepreneurship aspects, aspects of aspects human resources and the field of study of operational and strategic aspects. The participants who were the object of this community service program were approximately 20 SMEs (small & medium enterprises) from various processed products, including: Rangginang & opak products, emping products, jam products, wajit products, spinach chips products; tempeh; bananas, as well as other handicraft products. After the presentation and counseling from the Widyatama University Lecturer Team to the SMEs who finished (± 3 hours), the event was closed at 12 noon + friendly and accompanied by local gamelan music.
