Widyatama University held the Second season of Academic Year 2018/2019 Graduation for the Diploma to Master degree level on Thursday 13 June 2019 at the Widyatama University Multipurpose Building (GSG). The graduations consist of 16 Study Programs and 1 Graduate School.
This year’s graduation, Widyatama, the arrival of honorary guests from Mara – Malaysia Technology University, was present as Guest of Honor Prof. Dr. Norzaidi bin Haji Mohd Daud and Mr. Tay Kay Luan from Wales International University of Malaya – Malaysia.
Widyatama University Chancellor Dr. Islahuzzaman, S.E., M.Sc., Ak, CA said, this year Widyatama University has established cooperation with more than 300 institutions both domestic and foreign universities to collaborate with the business world and the industrial world to prepare graduates for the absorption of graduates.
The Chancellor said that the cooperation was manifested through student exchange programs and corporate collaboration in the form of campus hiring.
In the field of improving the quality of lecturers, he added, currently there are 56 lecturers currently pursuing doctoral education both in universities at home and abroad. While the number of Doctorates currently has 61 lecturers.
In the near future, 6 excellent Study Programs at Widyatama University will soon achieve International Accreditation (ASIC), he added.
Head of West Java & Banten Region IV LLDIKTI Prof. Dr. Uman Suherman, AS., M.Pd who also attended the graduation ceremony said in his speech “Widyatama University is one of the universities that boasts LLDIKTI Region IV because it has won various achievements that were delivered by the Chancellor.
Prof. Uman also advised Wisudawan Widyatama to be adaptive to developments in all aspects that are currently rolling so fast.
A total of 18 graduates won the title of outstanding graduates with the highest GPA reaching 3.96 won by Willy Hernanto Al Farel (Management), Anugrah Surya Nugraha (Accounting) and Nasya Rizki Niswah Nabilah (English Department). The youngest graduate at the age of 20 years 6 months 6 days was won by Anggi Dwi Novianti (Management) and the fastest graduation for Bachelor level in the study period of 3 years 5 months 10 days achieved by Tiara Ayustina Khoerunisa (Accounting).(Ed)
