The Faculty of Economics Conducted a Green Accounting Public Lecture

Thursday (28/3) Widyatama University’s Faculty of Economics held a public lecture by the theme “The Urgency of Conservative Accounting Transformation Towards Green Accounting: Challenges and Opportunities for Accounting Professionals” took place in theater building B building 6th floor of Widyatama University. The public lecture was attended by more than one hundred active students from the Accounting Study Program.

The event was chaired by Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Economics Eriana Kartadjumena, S.E., M.M., Ph.D., Ak., C.A., Csrs. and also officially as a moderator. This activity brought a concept of public lecture and questions-answers session by the participants to the speakers. It was attended by reliable speakers, Prof. Dr. Andreas Lako, MSi. who is familiarly called Prof. Lako. He was indeed very focused on researching and developing green accounting concepts.

On this occasion, he explained about the concept of Green Accounting and how future opportunities about the development of its scope in the business world. During the presentation of material, he interacted with participants who were dominated by final-level accounting students. Some questions were asked to participants, and vice versa. At the end of the event, representatives from Widyatama University gave souvenirs to Prof. Lako as an appreciation for giving the public lecture. (Ed)
