2 Proposals for the Student Creativity Program (PKM) 5 in Widyatama University Passed Ristekdikti Funding 2019

Wednesday (20/3) The Directorate General of Learning and Student Affairs, Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education (RISTEKDIKTI) has conducted a proposal evaluation of the Student Creativity Program 2019 on March 13-14 2019, the five areas included Research, Cipta Karya (copyright), Technology, Entrepreneurship and Community Service.

At this year, two proposals from of Entrepreneurship and Karsa Cipta from Widyatama University students achieved PKM funding from RISTEKDIKTI. In the Entrepreneurship area, 5 students and 1 lecturer brought the theme PKM “Gardenia of Terrarium” as an Effort to Transfer the Functions of Land in Cities. Seeing the phenomenon of the population increasing which lead to the high density in some big cities in Indonesia and it caused the conversion of land functions and Green Open Space (RTH) to become residential areas, entertainment centers, and skyscrapers.

By the reasons, they took the initiative to create plant cultivation products purposing to preserve green plants in to gradual disappearing around the big cities in Indonesia. It came by utilizing modern method, in this term, the method was utilizing glass media as miniature gardens that simulate conditions in the real world in glass media or in other words the terrarium or Virarium.

In the Technology area, 3 students and 1 supervisor have succeeded in creating an “Anthropology” application where the queuing system in clinics can be directly integrated into mobile phone by online system. This is inspired by the services of clinics in urban areas which require registration by using queue numbers first, while the average patient waiting time is between 100-200 minutes. By using the Antrikuy application, it is possible to book / book a check-up schedule at the designated clinic wherever and whenever. Patients can also see real time estimation of the queues that have been taken.
