To be a good news anchor, of course, a journalist must have the basic ability of being a reporter. Reza Helmi (news anchor of Trans 7) shared his knowledge at a workshop held by the Widyatama University Language Faculty on Saturday (23/2) in the Building A 4th floor, seminar room.
The workshop was attended by 242 students from various faculties at Widyatama University who were excited to be a news anchor. Widyatama English Undergraduate Study Program Lecturer Ms. Dr. Ervina CM Simatupang, M.Hum acted as moderator to explore various tips & tricks.
The program host had the role of reading the news, not only in the studio (TV or radio) but also at the scene directly. With the advancement of technology, now television news could be broadcasted from anywhere. Another word was Live Report, while news anchor was a journalist who brought news material and was often involved in improvising comments in live broadcasts, Reza said.
“To be a good announcer requires extensive knowledge, ability to read and communicate, attractive appearance and clear articulation, has a wide network, attractive personality”. Reza added.
