Bandung, August 24th, 2024 – The Community Service Program (PKM) themed “Application of Corrosion Control Tools on Metals for Welders and Blacksmiths in the Bogor Bandung Road Area” was successfully held on Saturday, August 24th, 2024. This activity was aimed at improving the knowledge and skills of welders and blacksmiths regarding material management and the use of relevant tools.
Through comprehensive training methods—presentations, demonstrations, and hands-on practice—participants showed a significant increase in their understanding of the principles and applications of corrosion control tools. The evaluation of the activity noted that most participants were able to use the tools correctly and felt more confident in managing materials.
The application of the techniques learned was perceived to have the potential to increase operational efficiency, reduce production costs, and improve product quality. The Widyatama University PKM team assessed these results as evidence of the effectiveness of the training approach provided.
The activity report also recommended several steps for future development, such as updating materials with the integration of digital technology, preparing follow-up programs, and expanding outreach through various platforms.
The success of this PKM program reaffirms Widyatama University’s commitment to supporting the improvement of quality and competitiveness among small and medium-sized businesses. Similar activities are expected to continue on an ongoing basis to provide a broader impact on the community.
