Based on LAMEMBA Decree No. 307/DE/A.5/AR.10/III/2023 starting from March 30 2023 to March 30 2028 the Widyatama University Bandung Bachelor of Management Study Program obtained Accreditation with a Superior rating.
Regulation of the Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia (Permendikbud RI) Number 5 of 2020, concerning Accreditation of Study Programs and Higher Education, explicitly stipulates that accreditation for study programs is carried out by Independent Accreditation Institutions (LAM). LAM is an institution formed by the government or the community that aims to accredit study programs independently. Meanwhile, if the LAM has not been formed, then the accreditation of study programs is carried out by the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT).
The dynamics of policy changes for transferring Study Program Accreditation from BAN-PT to Independent Accreditation Institutions (LAM) as stipulated in Kepmendibudristek Number 186/M/2021 concerning Study Programs accredited by LAM.
The Directorate General of Higher Education, Research and Technology (Ditjen Diktiristek) Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia (Kemendikbudristek) together with the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT) and the Independent Accreditation Institute (LAM) held the launch of five LAMs new, Thursday (31/3).
The five LAMs include LAM Engineering Study Program (Engineering LAM), LAM Natural Science and Formal Science (LAMSAMA), LAM Economics Business Management and Accounting (LAMEMBA), LAM Informatics and Computer Studies Program (LAM Infokom), and LAM Education. The five of them were inaugurated by Plt. Director General of Diktiristek, Prof. Ir. Nizam, M.Sc., DIC, Ph.D., IPU, Asean Eng.
Quoted from the official LAMEMBA website, LAMEMBA is an Independent Accreditation Institute for Economics, Business Management and Accounting whose job is to carry out the Accreditation process for Study Programs in the Fields of Economics, Management, Business and Accounting, which was initiated by the Indonesian Economists Association (ISEI), Indonesian Accountants Association ( IAI), and the Indonesian Faculty of Economics and Business Association (AFEBI).
Widyatama University also has several Study Programs under LAMEMBA including the International Trade Undergraduate Study Program, Management Undergraduate Study Program, Accounting D3 Study Program, and Doctor of Management Program (DIM).
Having achieved this Superior Accreditation is certainly an honor as well as a new challenge going forward to continue to maintain and improve the quality and effectiveness of education, research, community service, implementation, human resources, facilities, infrastructure, and the achievements of the Tridharma of higher education. So it takes seriousness, cooperation, collaboration to contribute to the next accreditation process.
