MNC University Establishes Educational Collaboration with Widyatama University

MNC University cooperates with Widyatama University Bandung. This was confirmed after the two universities signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), on Thursday, March 8, 2023.

According to MNC University Chancellor Mariati Tirta Wiyata, this collaboration was carried out because MNC University is a new university that still needs to learn a lot from other universities such as Widyatama University to develop better in the future.

“MNC University has to learn a lot from other tertiary institutions such as Widyatama so that it can develop better in the future,” said Maria, in an official statement, Saturday (11/3/2023).

Maria continued, in this collaboration MNC University carried out library benchmarking and also explored opportunities for research collaboration and community service between lecturers, exchange of teachers, and the implementation of Independent Learning Campus Merdeka (MBKM) from the two universities.

Meanwhile, Widyatama University Chancellor Dadang Suganda expressed his appreciation for the establishment of this collaboration. Dadang revealed that currently universities have to cooperate a lot with other parties in the world of education to provide insight, for example in the field of research and community service.

“We, Widyatama University, welcome this collaboration plan because in order to progress and develop, a tertiary institution cannot work alone but must partner with other tertiary institutions,” explained Dadang. and community service by collaborating with lecturers from both internal and other tertiary institutions, as well as encouraging the involvement of students in its implementation.

Because of this, Widyatama University is very serious about how to improve the competence of lecturers by allocating a large enough budget for research and community service to spur lecturers to produce quality outputs. The outputs will not only be targeted to be published in accredited journals but can also be applied or utilized in classroom learning. In addition, several improvements to facilities such as the library must be considered because it will be one of the indicators that determine the quality of a tertiary institution. “Hopefully this collaboration can produce a positive impact for both tertiary institutions,” concluded Dadang.
