Bandung – Universitas Padjadjaran Student Choir (Unpad Choir) is a student organisation that has been formed since 1978. Unpad Choir is often involved in events or protocol and ceremonial activities in the Unpad campus environment.
On Saturday (9/12/2023), Unpad Choir held its 24th annual concert after 3 years of vacuum. Paskalis Christian Vieri as the Chief Organiser of the event revealed that this concert was a form of dedication and hard work from all members of Unpad Choir.

The 24th annual concert of Unpad Choir carries a theme entitled ‘Zeitreise: A timeless odyssey: Voices through Ages’ which according to Vieri reflects the values of diversity and unity.
“Our concert theme this year ‘Zeitreise’ reflects the values of diversity and unity. We believe that music has the power to unite hearts and souls regardless of differences,” said Vieri.
The 24th annual concert was held at Widyatama Campus, Bandung City. The event started at 7.15pm and was opened by two master of ceremonies (MC). Before starting the show, the MC first introduced the profile of Unpad Choir as well as informing that Unpad Choir had just won the 5th Tokyo Choir Competition.
After introducing Unpad Choir, the event began with an opening performance from Widyatama Choir as the host. Widyatama Choir performed 3 songs led by conductor Arvin Zeinullah.
After the opening performance from Widyatama Choir, then entered the core event or the appearance of Unpad Choir. The core event was divided into 2 sessions, the first session of Unpad Choir performed 11 songs which were still led by conductor Arvin Zeinullah. The songs performed in the first session were dominated by classic genres such as Lay a Garland, Bell Chorus, and so on.
The first session of Unpad Choir’s performance lasted for 40 minutes. During the second session of the main event, Unpad Choir performed several modern songs such as Meraih Bintang and the Spongebob SquarePants theme song. In this second session, Unpad Choir performed 9 songs with a duration of 25 minutes.
After the 2nd session of the show was over, then the event turned to the submission of certificates and certificates to all members of the Unpad Choir team. After the handover of certificates and certificates was completed, then the MC closed the event accompanied by the hymn of Universitas Padjadjaran.
The excitement and excitement of the 24th annual concert of Unpad Choir was also felt by the audience who came. An audience member named Nabila (21) told the story of the first time she watched a choir concert live. Nabila attended the Unpad Choir concert with her friends.
“This is my first time watching a choir concert live, so this is my first experience watching a choir concert. It turned out to be exciting and the performance of the singing team was also really cool,” said Nabila.
Besides Nabila (21), Ahmad Rizal (23) also appreciated the performance of PSM Unpad and its annual concert event that went smoothly. Rizal praised the performance of the Unpad PSM team and the concept of the event which he thought was cool.
“For this annual Unpad choir concert, I appreciate the success and smoothness of the event. Earlier, the performance of the choir team was also very good, the cool concept of the event to the selection of songs, “said Rizal.
The 24th Unpad PSM annual concert event was originally going to be held in early 2023. However, due to technical problems and obstacles, the annual concert event was then rescheduled to the end of the year on Saturday, December 9, 2023.
