The Diktiristek Award is a form of monitoring, evaluating and appreciating the performance and success of institutional development within the Directorate General of Higher Education, Research, and Technology (Ditjen Diktiristek) of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemendikbudristek).
This award is held every year within the Directorate General of Diktiristek and is an annual agenda of the prestigious Directorate General of Diktiristek, because universities in Indonesia compete to get as many awards as possible. In addition, this activity is also an effort to appreciate the work and performance of universities in supporting the Directorate General of Higher Education program.
This award is an appreciation from the Directorate General of Higher Education to stakeholders from universities, LLDIKTI, journalists, media, and partners (ministries, institutions, as well as the business world and the industrial world), who have achieved the highest achievements and contributed to supporting the implementation of higher education transformation (Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka, Key Performance Indicators of Higher Education, and Matching Fund).
Meanwhile, the Director General of Higher Education, Prof. Ir. Nizam, M.Sc., Ph.D., conveyed the transformation of higher education in Indonesia, for four years running accelerantly, through the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka transformation program. The program strengthens the relationship between the campus and the business world and the industrial world. Good cooperation in the fields of education, research, and community service that runs has hatched many results felt by the community, and the business and industrial world.
“Thanks to hard efforts at the end of 2023, Indonesia ranked 5th out of 132 countries in the Global Innovation Index for research and development collaboration between universities and industry, from the previous rank of 35, an unmitigated leap,” said Prof. Nizam.
For this reason, Anugerh Diktiristek is an appreciation event for PTN / PTS and business and industry partners for the collaboration and achievements achieved. Appreciation was also given for the role of the media and PTN / PTS Public Relations personnel which according to the Director General of Higher Education and Technology is very important in the information age that is so massive and fast.
“Hopefully a little appreciation at the end of the year will strengthen our enthusiasm to enter 2024, with a higher spirit for the progress of the nation and state,” concluded Prof. Nizam.
One of the categories in the Diktiristek Award is the Best Private University Cooperation (PTS) with several sub-categories including, Best International Cooperation, Best Industry Cooperation, Best Government Cooperation and Best Cooperation Reporting.
Widyatama University became one of the private universities in Indonesia that was awarded the best Industrial Cooperation by getting a “Silver Winner”
With this achievement, it is hoped that Widyatama University can contribute further in an effort to improve the quality of higher education and educate the nation’s life
