The Widyatama Informatics Festival (WIFi) was held again by the Widyatama University Informatics Engineering Study Program and the 8th Universitas Widyatama Informatics Engineering Student Association on March 1st-3rd, 2018. WIFi’18 carries the theme “Ubiquitous Computing”, which we know can be simply defined as computing everywhere and more specifically means that computing technology is present/used in all areas of human life, which is connoted as computer technology.
Thursday and Friday (March 1st-2nd) featured competitions (programming, networking, and web design) between high schools and equivalent institutions. Approximately 30 teams participated in the competition, with each team consisting of 3 members, totaling around 90 participants. In addition, approximately 300 participants attended the seminar. The competition took place at the Auditorium Building (GSG) and the Computer Lab on the 4th floor of Universitas Widyatama.

The purpose of this event was to channel and hone the potential of talented and competent high school students in the city and regency of Bandung and the city of Cimahi in the field of technology. The event closed on Saturday (3/3) after a seminar filled by IT experts Ir. Onno Widodo Purbo, M.Eng., Ph.D and Ir. Budi Rahardjo, M.Sc, Ph.D, which was attended by hundreds of Widyatama students and the general public.
