On Wednesday (March 7), Widyatama University (UTama) welcomed another visit from BPI 1 High School in Bandung. The event was held at the Widyatama University GSG. A total of 315 BPI 1 High School students majoring in natural sciences and social sciences attended the Widyatama University campus visit.
“This is an annual event between Widyatama University and SMA BPI 1, and this year’s event was quite different from the usual tryout event because Widyatama packaged this year’s visitation event with entertainment while still providing education for the students,” added Mrs. Ruth Sita S.Pd (Deputy Head of Curriculum, SMA BPI 1)
The UTama Marketing Office has redesigned the campus visit to be more entertaining and engaging. Whereas campus visits usually hold tryouts and SBMPTN simulations, this time the Marketing Bureau packaged it with a motivational seminar by a motivational speaker who is also a lecturer at Widyatama University, Pipin Sukandi, S.E., M.M., CH., CHt., CI., CEFT., CT., CMNNLP. This motivational seminar is expected to inspire BPI 1 high school students to be more confident and courageous in facing their future.
“The event was interesting, exciting, and the material presented was easy to understand, so we were interested in becoming one of the Widyatama students. For future events, we hope the entertainment time will be extended,” said Ilma (Class IPA 7 SMA BPI 1).
In addition to the motivational seminar, entertainment events such as games, talent shows from SMA BPI 1, and performances from the Vocal Group, which are talents from Widyatama University, also enlivened the visitation event. This made the students feel engaged throughout the event. The Around Widyatama University tour and group photo session were the highlights of the 2018 Visitation event. It is hoped that this event will serve as an opportunity for students to get to know the campus atmosphere, especially that of Widyatama University.
