Studying abroad has become a trend in response to the digital era, which requires people to compete globally. Therefore, it is not surprising that Indonesian students are scattered across various countries to pursue higher education.
In response to this, Universitas Widyatama, through its Cooperation Bureau, has initiated a program that facilitates Universitas Widyatama students to study abroad while participating in internship programs at foreign companies.
At least 6 Universitas Widyatama students from the Bachelor of Informatics Engineering and Bachelor of Accounting Study Programs departed for Taoyuan City, Taiwan on January 4 to participate in an internship at FARGLORY while studying at MINGDAO UNIVERSITY (MDU).
Farglory is the largest logistics company in Taiwan, requiring a significant number of human resources each year. Through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Hungchi International Taiwan, which provides internship opportunities at Farglory, Mingdao University, and Widyatama University, this study abroad and internship program will run for six months, from January 4th, 2018, to July 4th, 2018.
The six students who departed for Taiwan are the first group to participate in this program. In the near future, on March 5th, 2018, 15 other students will participate in the same program in Taiwan. The second group will conduct their Study Abroad program at Mingdao University and internships at ASUS Technology, iPhone, and Everterminal.
