A total of 19 lecturers with backgrounds as practitioners and PhDs from leading national universities were recruited by the Faculty of Economics and the Faculty of Business & Management at Widyatama University in an effort to improve the quality of teaching and education. The new lecturers gathered in the rector’s meeting room on the first floor on Tuesday (11/1) to receive an orientation on their duties and work programs from the Widyatama HRD division.
On this occasion, Dr. Mame S. Sutoko, Ir., DEA., Rector of Widyatama University, opened the orientation by advising lecturers, as the spearhead in improving teaching services, to give their best to students. “Don’t just fill in attendance, but pay attention to how the teaching process is carried out. Don’t just teach, but also provide added value to students and the institution,” said the Rector. The Rector continued to encourage lecturers to improve their quality by conducting research, and equally important, to dare to publish their work in national and international seminars. Widyatama always opens opportunities and assists lecturers who want to actualize themselves by participating in local or international seminars, both domestic and abroad. Several lecturers have received funding assistance to continue their studies and attend international seminars in various countries, including Malaysia and Japan.***
