A number of Indonesia Research Fellowship scholarships are being offered by Harvard Kennedy School (HKS) Indonesia to researchers and academics to participate in independent research projects at the Ash Center, Harvard Kennedy School, United States (US). These research scholarships are supported by the Rajawali Foundation to provide opportunities for researchers to join a community of researchers working on issues in Asia, said Nugroho J. Setiadi, Coordinator of the Widyatama Study Center. “The HKS Indonesia Program is a full scholarship scheme for a one-year study period from August 22, 2011, to June 15, 2012. Scholarship recipients will receive dormitory accommodation, health insurance, and daily living expenses. However, this scholarship scheme does not cover international round-trip transportation costs,” he added.
In addition, scholarship recipients will be provided with their own workspace at the Ash Center for Democratic Governance and Innovation, located on the Harvard University campus in Cambridge, outside Boston. Candidates will also have direct access to the Harvard University library system. Applications will close on February 28, 2011, and the scholarship form can be found at https://ash.harvard.edu/indonesia-research-fellowships. Nugroho urged faculty deans, program directors, and study center directors to encourage lecturers and researchers to participate in this program. Although the leadership strives to provide the widest possible opportunities for lecturers and researchers, at the very least, the leadership at the Faculty can take the initiative to start this process.***
