Unlike usual, the residence of the Founder of the Widyatama Foundation on Jalan Brantas, Bandung, was bustling with structural officials and staff members of Widyatama University on Wednesday (January 5). At 7:30 p.m., Mrs. Lies, as she is affectionately known, Dr. Elisabeth Koes Soedijati, Dra., M.Si., Member of the Widyatama Foundation Management Board, opened the Christmas and New Year celebration, which is held regularly as a form of gratitude and to build emotional bonds between employees and leaders.
The event was organized in such a simple manner that it created a family-like atmosphere. Laughter filled the room during the session for sharing impressions and messages. Prof. Dr. Koesbandijah A. K., M.S., Ak., familiarly known as Mrs. Koes, Chair of the Widyatama Foundation Management Board, also warmed up the event by recounting her struggles in establishing Widyatama University. “This building was once used for academic activities, from registration to thesis guidance. Alhamdulillah, Widyatama now has its own facilities and has grown rapidly thanks to the hard work and dedication of its founders, faculty, and staff,” said Bu Koes, who had recently recovered from an illness several months prior.***
