The UTama taekwondo team once again won the overall championship title for the 7th time at the Indonesian intercollegiate taekwondo championship held at the POPKI Sports Hall, Trisakti University, Jakarta. The championship, held from December 4 to 6, featured 12 male and female athletes competing in the Fin, Fly, Bantam, Feather, Light, Welter, Middle, and Heavyweight classes. In the Middleweight and Heavyweight classes for men, gold medals were won by tae kwon do practitioners Zahryan Danniel and Rosandi. Silver medals were won by Asep Kurniawan in the Men’s Flyweight category, Stephanus Soesanto in the Men’s Lightweight category, and Sondang Maulana in the Men’s Welterweight category. The women’s team had to settle for silver medals in the Bantamweight and Featherweight categories, won by Utami Dewi and Mela, respectively.
