As we know, the role of taxes in a country is very important in economic development. The amount of tax in a country is determined by the income level of the country’s population. Therefore, government policy on taxation is very important, as it can affect the growth rate of the country itself.
The phenomenon of taxation in Indonesia is very diverse, ranging from cases that fall into the category of must-pay to major cases of tax evasion. Revenue from the tax sector greatly assists the government in developing and building facilities and infrastructure that are notabene for the people themselves.
However, returning to the individual level, it is necessary for us to cultivate a culture where good citizens are those who comply with paying taxes. Therefore, tax regulations in Indonesia still need to be improved to avoid cases that could harm the country and to impose severe penalties on citizens who evade taxes. With this, it is hoped that they will immediately comply and pay their taxes on time.
It is also hoped that with the cooperation of Indonesian citizens, development in Indonesia can be successful. Once again, the role of the government is very much needed in order to realize the importance of taxes themselves.
This seminar is a “vehicle” for the community to gain a deeper understanding of the rules and enforcement of the rules themselves in order to socialize and cultivate tax obligations.
