SHOWING OFF POTENTIAL AND CREATION, YOUNG PEOPLE FILL WIDYATAMA CAMPUS AT TOP GENZATION PERFORMANCE

Saturday (18 November 2023), Widyatama Campus on Jalan Cikutra Bandung, was filled with talented young people from high schools, universities, and the public to take part in various competitions at the largest E-Sport and Arts Festival presented by Top Kopi and Radio Prambors. In this event titled Top Genzation, generation Z competed against each other in e-sport, music, and dance competitions.

Top Genzation is a road show event, where Bandung is the third city to hold this event. Iqbal, Project Director of Radio Prambors, said that Top Genzation aims to provide a forum for young people or generation Z who have works to continue to create and compete so that they do not stagnate as a generation of rebahan, especially after the pandemic yesterday. Of the three cities where this festival was held, Iqbal said that Bandung was the city with the most participants with crazy and cool skills.
In addition to the three main competitions held by Top Kopi in collaboration with Prambors Radio, there are also digital campaign competitions such as poster competitions, photo spots, and also short videos held by Widyatama University which is known as a “friendly campus for future business pros”. These digital campaign competitions also aim to accommodate Gen Z, which is also known as the digital literate generation, to contribute to campaigning “united to maintain the integrity and advance the nation” through their digital creations.

The participants, supporters, and other visitors were not only treated to the performances of the finalists and games, but also guest stars who were certainly part of the eagerly awaited part. Top Genzation Bandung held at Widyatama GSG presented Mocca, Ari Irham and Syner, and Mr Sonjaya. As the afternoon wore on, the event became more and more crowded, not only with Generation Z but also Generation Y, to watch the main guests. Mocca, who had their 24th birthday this year.

In the interview session, Mocca, an indie band that was formed when the personnel were studying at one of the private campuses in Bandung, positively welcomed the existence of an event that could accommodate the creativity of young people, especially in the arts such as Top Genzation. Arina, the vocalist, gave a message to young people who have an interest in music to follow their instincts, continue to explore their musical abilities without leaving or ignoring their studies, because it is precisely this study that really helps their paradigm when plunging into a career. Mocca personnel proudly added that they are a “bachelor band” that shows that education and interests, hobbies, or passions can go hand in hand. (ANA)
