On Wednesday (August 28), Ridwan Kamil visited the campus of Widyatama University to give a national lecture to new students of the 2013/2014 academic year at the Widyatama Auditorium in the Cikutra area. In his national lecture, Ridwan Kamil (Mayor of Bandung Elected 2013-2018) stated that we must begin to make changes for Indonesia starting from our own homes, Bandung, where we grew up and developed.
“Do everything with love, because with love, everything will be done in the best possible way,” said Ridwan. With a relaxed but serious demeanor and interspersed with laughter from the new students, the 90-minute national lecture flew by.
The Rector of Widyatama University, Dr. Mame S. Sutoko, accompanied Mr. Ridwan Kamil during the lecture. Also present at the event was Mr. T. Ontowiryo, S.E., MBA, as the Chairman of the Widyatama Foundation Management Board and his staff. Mr. Ridwan Kamil’s visit to the UTama campus was part of a series of activities for the University Introduction Program (PPU) for New Students for the 2013/2014 academic year.
Previously, the Rector had inaugurated approximately 1,555 new students at Widyatama University, followed by the reading of the student pledge and the presentation of PPA Scholarships from the Widyatama Foundation and scholarships from Mr. Karmaka and Mr. Sabana, who are members of the Widyatama Advisory Board. The National Lecture event concluded with the presentation of a souvenir to Mr. Ridwan Kamil, which was handed over directly by Dr. Mame S. Sutoko, Rector of Widyatama University, and Mrs. Sri Lestari Roespinoedji, S.H., Notary, Chair of the Widyatama Foundation Advisory Board, as well as merchandise from the Head of the Marketing Bureau, Mrs. Devy Mawarnie Puspitasari, S.E., M.M.
