After competing with 10 candidates and going through several stages of selection, Dr. Mame S Sutoko, Ir., D.E.A, was elected as Rector of Widyatama University for the 2010-2014 term. The inauguration ceremony was held on Tuesday (7/9) at the Widyatama University Campus in Bandung and was attended by the Rector of ITB, Prof. Akhmaloka, Ph.D, structural officials of Widyatama University, and invited guests. In his speech as Rector, Dr. Mame Sutoko emphasized that the cooperation and support of the entire academic community is essential to realize the programs that have been announced by the University. The various successes achieved so far are the result of the hard work of the entire academic community of Widyatama University. Meanwhile, in his speech, the Chair of the Widyatama Foundation Management Board, Prof. Dr. Koesbandijah AK., MS., Ak., reminded everyone that the University’s positive efforts must be carried out consistently and sustainably. “I urge all lecturers and staff at all levels to work together to implement the programs of our beloved University, so that development efforts and the achievement of the University’s vision and mission can be realized consistently and continuously,” he said. After the inauguration ceremony, the Rector, along with all staff and invited guests, held a fast-breaking dinner.
