The art has multiple streams, the art of painting has several techniques used in painting an object. Painting artists use different techniques to produce works. The technique of painting is often a characteristic of a painter.

FDKV Widyatama has a curriculum that is based on the KKNI (Indonesian National Qualifications Framework). Therefore the graduates are practitioner characters (vocational) who are guided by professional lecturers (the majority of practitioners) and are also competency assessors in the field of Visual Communication Design. The study period of Study Program D4 – Graphic Design is only 4 years with a waiting period of zero years (Data Tracer Career Center Widyatama) which means that before graduating, graduates have worked. FDKV Widyatama is incorporated in the Association of Indonesian National Visual Communication Design Professionals. Coupled with the Student Exchange and Joint Research program with Multi Media University (MMU) Malaysia.
FDKV Widyatama has a uniqueness that is not found in other Higher Education, namely Art therapy Center or ATC as a container or incubator for the development of DKV knowledge that is not owned elsewhere.
To produce a painting work that is maximal, of course, requires good technique. Painting techniques also consist of several types based on the perspective of the review. Widyatama’s Faculty of Visual Communication Design (FDKV) gave birth to professional graphic designers to answer the needs of the creative industry. FDKV of Widyatama University is trained by permanent lecturers of ITB FSRD alumni who have taken Doctoral and Masters Programs, and are active as practitioners / professionals in the DKV industry. Good governance and facilities such as dual system computer laboratories (mac & pc), editing & dubbing laboratories, photographic laboratories, galleries to official licensed TV stations for broadcasting to the public.
The measure of success that is preferred by FDKV of Widyatama University is how a student who comes with unchecked abilities transforms into a true DKV designer absorbed by the industry or is able to build his own industry which even materializes before the title is pinned.
