Faculty of Engineering Conducted the Occupational Safety & Health (K3) Training

Widyatama University conducted a Public Occupational Safety and Health (K3)

Tuesday, July 23, 2019, in Seminar Room Building A, 4th Floor, Widyatama University conducted a Public Occupational Safety and Health (K3) Training for special education staff at the Faculty of Engineering and Facilities Maintenance Bureau at the Widyatama University and Engineering Faculty students. This training was in collaboration with the Indonesian Association of Construction Experts (IAKI), the Association at the National Institute of Construction Services Development (LPJK). Keynote speaker training was Ir. Dirmansyah, MBA., M.M. a professional, consultant, and assessor in the K3 field with a myriad of project installation experiences in the construction field.

On this occasion, the opening ceremony was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Dr. M. Rozahi Istambul, S.Kom. M.T. which at the same time opened the activity, joined the Chair of the Mechanical Engineering Study Program, Ir. Udin Komarudi, M.T. This training discussed about the providing insight and understanding of General K3, given the presence of a new building built by Widyatama University. In addition, the old building required maintenance, so that the building could function optimally and provide security for the user. This discussion about maintaining building required attention to all aspects dealing with creating maintenance of these buildings together with various facilities in this field that could be minimized.

The training conducted for two days was inseparable from Widyatama University new program study that had been initiated last year, they are Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Civil Engineering.

The keynote speaker further appealed to pay attention to the Construction Services Act, the General K3 principles; not only discuss as one part of knowledge but also should be able to become a culture adhered to by all lecturers, students and employees of creating cooperation safety and health. The keynote speaker presented the K3 material on K3 Regulations, K3 Basics, K3 Construction Engineering, K3 Implementation in Construction, Hazard Potential in the Workplace, and Work Safety Equipment.
