Faculty of Economics (UTama) organizes sharing & counseling with an audience of new students and prospective new students on Monday July 30, 2018 in the seminar room of the 4th floor of the Rector building. The event with the theme “Accounting is Fun” aims to introduce new students to early that the world of Accounting is very pleasant and has been done by all humans since childhood.
Dr. R. Wedi Rusmawan as Dean of the Faculty of Economics Widyatama explained that since taking basic education to date humans have been taught how to manage finances. “It’s so important to record income and expenditure in all aspects,” said Wedi.
According to him, the development of the financial profession has now been divided into several professions such as accounting technicians, accountants, KJA accountants, public accountants, and public appraisers.
“Accountant technician is someone who has the competence to be the bookkeeping executive and supervisor of accounting in the business world, government institutions, and other institutions. While the accountant is a person who has been registered in the State Accountant register held by the finance minister. Accountants also practice is registered accountants who have obtained permission from the minister to provide accounting services to the public through the Office of Accountant Services (KJA), “he explained.
“A public accountant is someone who has obtained permission from the finance minister to provide insurance and non-insurance services. While a public appraiser is someone who has obtained permission from the finance minister to provide assessment services,” he added.
As a good accountant, it must be registered in the State Register of Accountants (RNA). RNA is a list that contains the number and name of a person who has passed the accounting profession certification exam held by an association that has been fostered by the Minister of Finance and entitled to be called a Public Accountant. “In the RNA list, all Indonesian citizens who passed accounting certification such as Chartered Accountant (CA) by IAI, Certified Public Accountants (CPA) by IAPI, and CPMA by IAMI,” he explained.
Wedi added that to obtain a CA degree as an Accountant profession, at Widyatama University, he would only need to take 1 certification exam conducted by IAI.
