
In order to align the needs of the business world and the industrial world, graduates and higher education institutions, on Tuesday (30/4) the Universitas Widyatama Career Center held its annual routine event, namely the Company Gathering. Held in the Seminar Room on the 4th floor of Building A, this event was attended by 33 companies that employ Widyatama University graduates from various business fields, including manufacturing, logistics, banking, and other business fields.

This event, which has been held since 2014, was attended by the leadership of the Foundation and the Widyatama Rectorate. At exactly 9:00 a.m. Western Indonesian Time, the gathering was opened by the Rector of Widyatama University, Dr. Islahuzzaman, S.E., M.Si., Ak., CA. In his speech, he said that this gathering was expected to improve Widyatama University through the quality of its graduates. “By continuing to build cooperation with graduate users, Widyatama hopes to receive feedback on the competencies expected by the industry so that we, as higher education providers, can continue to make continuous improvements,” he added.

On the same occasion, several companies signed MoUs regarding internship placements, graduate recruitment, and scholarship funding.

Director of HR at SAS Hospitaly, Mr. Rangga Irawan Prasetyo, gave a presentation on analyzing the needs of the workforce in facing the 4.0 industrial revolution. He said that HR in every company must adapt to the current pattern, which is dominated by digitalization in various aspects.

At the end of the event, hundreds of graduates who had just completed their graduation hearings and will be graduating in June were invited to attend this event. Companies that were present and currently advertising job vacancies were able to conduct campus recruitment and directly accept Widyatama University alumni. (Ed)
