Community Service at Widyatama University Knowledge Sharing Indonesian Citizens in Japan

Osaka, Japan – Faculty of Economics, Widyatama University conducted Community Service event in Osaka, Japan, as one of the Tridharma of higher education.

This activity was in the form of Knowledge Sharing for Indonesian entrepreneur citizens (WNI) in Japan.

Dean of the Faculty of Economics Dr. Diana Sari, as the Chairperson of the Lecturer Team said that this activity was a very good breakthrough as a form of dedication from the Widyatama University Lecturers that could be organized in a sustainable manner going forward.

High enthusiasm could also be seen from the arrival of participants who were Indonesian entrepreneurs who have lived in Japan for 10-25 years.

The theme of this activity was “Tips for dealing with business competition in the digital era” which took place on Thursday, November 14, 2019 at the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia in Osaka, Japan.

Participants who attended were mostly engaged in the service and trade business, the rest were exporters in the East Asia and ASEAN regions.

In addition to business management and accounting, licensing issues and legal aspects were topics of special attention by participants and resource persons.

The resource person on sharing knowledge was delivered directly by Dr. Diana Sari, Dean of the Faculty of Economics, Widyatama University.

The Indonesian Consul General in Osaka, Mirza Nurhidayat, welcomed the activity and fully supports this activity so that it could continue.

Where in the era of increasingly complex competition, it was hoped that Indonesian entrepreneurs would be able to compete in Japan, especially in Osaka.

At the end of the event, the Consul General who was accompanied by Pranowo as the Economic Functional Officer exchanged souvenirs with the Dean of the Faculty of Economics, Widyatama University, Dr. Diana Sari.
