Wednesday (27/2) Widyatama University (UTama) welcomed a visit from SMA BPI 2 Bandung. The group arrived at around 8:00 a.m. at the Widyatama parking lot and was greeted by the Marketing Bureau and Marketing Crew. The group was led by Mrs. Ita, a guidance counselor at BPI 2 High School in Bandung, and other teachers representing the school. BPI 2 High School in Bandung brought around 80 students from several departments.
The event began with a speech from the representative of the Head of the Marketing Bureau, Mr. Edy Witono, A.Md, followed by a speech from Mrs. Tuty, the Deputy Head of Public Relations at BPI 2 High School in Bandung. The event continued with the UN TRY OUT, which was held in the Seminar Room on the 6th floor of Building B at Widyatama University. This had many benefits for the school, especially the students, as it provided hard skills training for SMK Negeri 1 Bandung students to prepare them for the UN.
The purpose of the group’s visit to UTama was to provide high school graduates and their equivalents with an understanding of higher education. This is because high school graduates do not yet know which university they will attend after graduating from high school and what major they will choose when they go to college. In addition to providing this understanding, the visit was also used as a means to provide more detailed information about Widyatama University. At the end of the event, the Head of the Bureau presented merchandise and souvenirs to the group and held a photo session to foster familiarity and good relations between the two institutions.
