Bandung (March 5, 2015), the Faculty of Engineering, Department of Informatics Engineering, Widyatama University, in collaboration with APTIKOM Pusat, held a Seminar and Workshop on the KKNI Curriculum with the theme “Informatics and Computer Study Program Discussion.” Three speakers who are experts in their fields were invited. These speakers included Prof. Zaini A. Hasibuan, Ph.D., Chair of APTIKOM Center; Prof. Dr. Abdul Hakim Halim (Chair of Kopertis Region IV); and Dr. Ayu Purwarianti, Chair of the Computer Science Program at Bandung Institute of Technology.
Each speaker or seminar presenter covered several topics related to the KKNI curriculum, particularly in the field of Information Technology Study Programs. Prof. Zaini A. Hasibuan, Ph.D., began by explaining the Core Competencies of the Information Technology and Computer Study Program based on DIKTI nomenclature. In contrast, Prof. Dr. Abdul Hakim Halim discussed government policies on the Indonesian National Qualifications Framework-based curriculum and Law No. 49 of 2014. The final presentation came from the Head of the Information Technology Study Program at the Bandung Institute of Technology, Dr. Ayu Purwarianti, who discussed the workshop on competency-based curriculum management and the Indonesian National Qualifications Framework.
This event aimed to understand government policies on Competency-Based Curriculum and the Indonesian National Qualifications Framework for Study Programs, as well as to guide workshop participants on the technical steps of developing a Competency-Based Curriculum & Indonesian National Qualifications Framework. This activity included a national seminar with the theme “Development of KKNI-Based Curriculum.” The speakers were from Kopertis and experts in the field of IT. The Study Program Forum Declaration will form a Study Program Forum in order to improve the management capabilities of the study program and as a forum for communicating issues faced by the Infokom study program. There was also an information technology exhibition. which featured contributions from industry representatives as well as student research projects from several universities, particularly in West Java. Concurrently with other activities, there was also a working meeting of the Aptikom Central Board to discuss the 2015 work agenda, with participants including board members, program directors, and leaders from across Indonesia.
