The Widyatama Christian Student Association (PMK) held a Christmas Eve gathering on Friday (21/21) on the 4th floor of Building A from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The event was opened by Prof. Jozua Sabandar, M.A., Ph.D., Coordinator of the Teaching Learning Office, and was also attended by H. Marcus Kasirin, S.E., M.M., Secretary of the Widyatama Foundation, and Elisabeth Koes Soedijati, Dr., Dra., M.Si., Member of the Widyatama Foundation Management Board.
In his speech, Joshua urged Christian students to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ by sacrificing themselves for their people and transforming themselves into better individuals through positive means. The Christmas Eve reflection was delivered by Basana Nababan in a warm and cheerful atmosphere. He said that in life’s journey, we must always transform ourselves from bad deeds to better behavior that is pleasing to Jesus Christ.
Not to be left out, the students sang various hymns that enlivened the event. The student drama group also enlivened the event by presenting a touching story about the meaning of Christmas with the theme “the arrogance of the rich who do not understand the meaning of Christmas”. The message of the drama was that we can break free from our past deeds full of evil and bad actions in order to repent and reveal Jesus Christ in our real lives.***
