Arduino Day is a worldwide celebration of Arduino’s anniversary. It is a 24-hour event—organized directly by the community or by the founders of Arduino—that brings people together to share experiences and learn more about the open-source platform. The purpose of this event is to introduce the Arduino technology platform for developing various creative ideas and to showcase various community works developed based on the Arduino platform.
The “Introduction to Arduino” workshop is intended for junior high and high school students who want to learn about the Arduino platform as an IoT (Internet of Things) development platform. The tools used are Arduino IDE and Thinker CAD (Arduino simulator), and the material presented is basic material related to Arduino, including Introduction to Arduino UNO, Introduction & Use of LED and RGB, Introduction and Use of Tilt Button, Introduction and Use of Speaker, Introduction and Use of Ultrasonic Sensor, and Introduction to Basic Programming (Conditional and Looping).

Meanwhile, live demo activities are held in collaboration with various Arduino communities, especially those in Bandung and its surrounding areas. The aim is to showcase the various works of the community and share knowledge among fellow developers.
“All user groups, including makerspaces & hackerspaces communities, fablabs, associations, teachers, professionals, and beginners, are welcome to contribute to activities held around the world for free. Arduino Day is open to anyone who wants to celebrate the amazing things that have been done (or can be done!) with open-source platforms. The event will feature various types of activities, designed for local audiences around the world,” said Benny Yustim, S.Si., M.T., head of IRD and chief executive.

Benny added, “This activity is expected to be attended by various individuals who want to learn about Arduino and the community that has developed various works on the Arduino platform. It is hoped that these works will inspire and encourage new ideas in technological development in the future.” (Ed)
