On Saturday (March 9th), hundreds of people crowded the Universits Widyatama Multipurpose Building to participate in competitions and celebrate the Sashimi XI event held by one of Widyatama’s student activity units, the Japan Community. With the theme “Dungeon” inspired by a game, the venue was decorated like a castle and the event was organized like a dungeon game.
This event is an annual activity organized by a community of students who are enthusiasts of Japanese culture, who are members of the Widyatama Japan Community. The event aims to introduce Japanese culture to the community, especially students, and this is the 14th time it has been held,” said Hafiz, the chief organizer.
Cosplay, cover dance, and band auditions are competitions held at the 11th Sashimi event. The event was enlivened by several talents, including Sara Odori and the Bandung idol group Kota Band. “Hopefully, this event can become a forum for Japanese enthusiasts, such as anime and Japanese games, and also a place for people with potential to showcase their talents,” said Hafiz.
