For 12 years, Palestine has been under blockade by the Israeli military. The harsh and difficult life there has now escalated into a humanitarian crisis in Palestine.
In order to encourage the Indonesian people, especially the younger generation, to care about the situation in Palestine, which is still experiencing a humanitarian crisis, on Saturday (March 16), the Widyatama University Islamic Student Family (KAMI) invited Palestinian humanitarian activists Muhammad Husein Gaza and Noor Al-Kautsar (Kang Ucay – former vocalist of the band Rocket Rockers). A large-scale tabligh entitled “The Contribution of Indonesian Youth to the Liberation of Al-Aqsa” was held at the Al Makmur Mosque at Widyatama University.

In his explanation, Muhammad Husein, Lc said that the condition in Palestine is now getting worse. “How can we not be concerned? The main river that flows to Gaza from Lake Tiberias has been closed and replaced with waste from Israeli factories, so now almost all springs in Gaza are polluted,” he concluded.
“In addition, Israel limits the electricity supply to only two hours per day, forcing the people of Gaza to use candles for lighting. Hospitals are the most affected by these restrictions because treating the sick requires a 24-hour electricity supply,” he continued.

In his biography, Muhammad Husein is an Indonesian native who happened to be completing his master’s degree in Gaza and has been in Palestine since 2011.
During the grand tabligh agenda held as part of the Widyatama Islamic Festival series of events, the two speakers invited the congregation to pray for the Palestinian people, hoping that their suffering will soon be lifted, and not to forget to channel donations through one of the aid agencies for Palestine.
