Entrepreneurship Competition at Widyatama University

The entrepreneurial spirit among students continues to grow. Various products, both services and goods, continue to emerge. The increasingly diverse needs of society motivate students to innovate through entrepreneurship. Widyatama University, as an institution of higher learning that supports entrepreneurial development, held Enjoy Rewind Achievement at the Widyatama University Multipurpose Building on March 19-20, 2019.

Speaker with Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Planning and Cooperation: Prof. Dr. Mohd. Haizam Bin Mohd. Saudi

Enjoy is one of the annual programs of the Widyatama University Entrepreneurship Student Activity Unit, and it has many benefits for us and the students around the campus. Enjoy has been held for eight consecutive years. The first to fifth years consisted of two contents, namely bazaar and live music. Then, in the sixth year, it began collaborating with the Widyatama University D3 Management Study Program by adding public lecture content until the eighth year. In the seventh year, it added the content of a business plan competition and a quiz show. In the eighth year, it added entertainment activities that highlighted the arts in Indonesia. From the first to the eighth Enjoy, the basic themes were Education, Art, Technology, Culinary, and Entertainment.

This event featured several tenants, including those from the Business Community Development (BCD) Widyatama and external parties. The event was part of a series of activities initiated by the Student Entrepreneurship Activity Unit, supported by the Management Program. Activities included food stalls, accessories, and clothing. There was also an entrepreneurship workshop addressing the disruptive era.

The workshop was led by Herdy R. Harman (Director of HCM PT TELKOM Tbk.), an expert in his field, with the workshop material “Human Resources in Industry 4.0: Opportunities, Challenges, and Achievements.” In the field of entrepreneurship, Hassan Alaydrus (Owner of BABA MANDHI RICE) also attended with a workshop titled “Start a Business with an Entrepreneurial Mindset.” More than 700 attendees participated in the workshop led by both speakers.

This Enjoy activity is an annual agenda as part of the university’s commitment to character development and producing graduates who are skilled in entrepreneurship. (Ed)
