Widyatama University Scholarship & PMDK Program

Widyatama University Bandung is opening registration for new students through the Interest and Ability Search (PMDK) pathway for academic and athletic achievements for period II, which will end on May 31, 2010. The number of seats available for the PMDK pathway is 30% of the total number of new students to be accepted for the 2010/2011 academic year.

According to the Head of Public Relations & Marketing at Widyatama University, Fitrah Rumaisa, applicants who wish to register for the PMDK pathway can contact their school. “Prospective applicants who are interested in entering the Widyatama PMDK pathway are welcome to contact their respective school’s guidance counselors, as the Widyatama PMDK recommendation forms have already been distributed to each school,” she explained.

Information regarding the announcement of PMDK admissions will be provided on June 23, 2010, via www.www.widyatama.ac.id. If PMDK participants have been accepted and have completed registration, they are entitled to participate in the first-year scholarship program, which consists of free SKS (semester credit units) or pocket money. The scholarship funds are provided by the Widyatama Foundation, the Directorate General of Higher Education, PT Djarum, Karmaka Saurdjaja (Bank OCBC NISP), Sabana Prawirawijaya (PT Ultra Jaya), the West Java Regional Government, and others.

In the 2009/2010 academic year, 523 students at Widyatama University in Bandung received educational scholarships totaling Rp. 1.25 billion throughout the 2009/2010 academic year. These scholarships are proof of the educational institution’s concern for students in supporting and stimulating academic achievement.
