A total of 333 graduates from Widyatama University (UTAMA) were sent off by the Rector of Widyatama University, Dr. Mame S. Sutoko, Ir., D.E.A., represented by the Vice Rector for Operations, Prof. Dr. H. Karhi N. Sarjudin, Ak., M.M. The graduation ceremony for Bachelor’s, Associate’s, and Master’s in Management graduates Batch III for the 2007-2008 academic year was held on Saturday, May 24, 2008, at the Widyatama University Auditorium (formerly STIEB) on Jalan Cikutra 204, Bandung. The graduates consisted of 124 Bachelor of Accounting program students, 145 Bachelor of Management program students, 9 Associate Degree in Accounting program students, 11 graduates from the Associate Degree in Management program, 5 graduates from the Bachelor of Information Technology program, 4 graduates from the Bachelor of Industrial Engineering program, 1 graduate from the Bachelor of Information Systems program, 9 graduates from the Bachelor of English program, 4 graduates from the Bachelor of Graphic Design program, 7 graduates from the Associate Degree in Multimedia Design program, 12 graduates from the Master of Management program, and 2 graduates from the Professional Accounting Education program (PPA).
The Rector, in his speech read by the Operational Vice Rector, congratulated the graduates and wished them success, while also conveying the Rector’s message that academic success is not the end of everything, but rather the beginning of real life. The job market demands increasingly fierce competition, and alumni are required to play a role in upholding the name and enhancing the image of Widyatama University. In addition to the graduates and their parents, the event was also attended by representatives of the Widyatama University academic community, representatives of high schools/vocational schools, Kopertis Region IV West Java and Banten, as well as other invited guests.
