Pratama Media News, West Bandung City, January 29th, 2023 – The Information Systems Study Program of the Faculty of Engineering at Widyatama University (UTama) collaborated with the Bandung Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN) in the utilization of information technology. The activity, which was attended by 150 cooperative members, was carried out in the context of Community Service (PkM).
With the theme “Utilization of Information Technology for the Sale of Production Results in Communities that are Members of KADIN Cooperatives,” the two institutions carried out activities at Graha KADIN, Jalan Talaga Bodas No.31, Malabar, Lengkong District, Bandung City on Saturday (January 28th, 2023).
Before the activity began, the UTama PkM team took the time to meet with the Chair of KADIN Bandung City, Ir. Iwa Gartiwa, M.M. The two parties discussed plans to create a website for cooperative members. The aim is to increase the promotional role for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) that are members of cooperatives within the scope of KADIN Bandung City.

Additionally, the plan will be ongoing by establishing a digital network among cooperative members to assist in managing the demand and sales of all cooperative members.
On that occasion, the Executive Director of KADIN Bandung City, Ridwan Kurniawan, said that his party hopes that the results of this collaboration will be able to digitally record and map the membership of the KADIN Bandung City cooperative. If this is implemented, it will facilitate the identification and management of the cooperative member database.

Rozahi conveyed to all cooperative members who attended the event, consisting of 150 MSME actors affiliated with the Catering Academy, which has 2,500 MSME members, that the role of information technology is now commonplace and normal.
“Almost all aspects of people’s daily routines are inseparable from technology. The use of social media, the internet, video conferencing, and digital transactions (marketplaces) have become part of the culture in this era,” said Rozahi.

The Cluster Chair added that there are plans to create websites for each cooperative member who already has a business and production, which will be presented in the form of digital promotions.
Additionally, a supply chain role will be established to empower all cooperative members with different types of businesses to synergize in meeting each other’s needs.
