Widyatama University Celebrates International Disability Day

Children with special needs hold up posters during International Disability Day at Widyatama University Campus, Bandung, Sunday (11/22/2015). The event, which was attended by children with special needs from Greater Bandung, featured a fun walk, art and entertainment performances, and a discussion titled “social campaign” in the context of fulfilling the rights of persons with disabilities.

Also present on that day were the Head of the Bandung City Social Service, Arifin H Kertasaputra, and the Deputy Mayor of Bandung, Atalia Praraty Kamil.

Widyatama University is a higher education institution that is concerned and committed to social issues. This event was an implementation of the university community’s commitment to people with disabilities. This momentum was utilized not only for social programs, but also to help raise public awareness and concern for people with disabilities.
