Bandung, May 24, 2025 – Universitas Widyatama, through its Accounting Study Program (S1 and D3) National Accounting Team, successfully held a national and international event titled “Accounting Revolution 2025.” This event was a tangible commitment by the university to respond to the challenges of the accounting profession in the digital era, especially with the advent of artificial intelligence (AI).
With the theme “Integrating Accounting and Artificial Intelligence: Navigating the Crossroads Toward a Sustainable Future,” the event was attended by more than 600 participants from various universities and industries. The international seminar featured high-caliber speakers, including Dr. Syafrizal Ikram, SE., M.Si., Ak., CA., CACP (Head of the Accounting Undergraduate Program at Widyatama University), Budi Santoso, S.E., Ak., MForAccy (PwC Indonesia), and Prof. Dr. Rozainun Haji Abdul Aziz, P.M.K., CA (M) (University of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia).
Participation came from overseas universities such as Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University (Japan), Rijksuniversiteit Groningen (Netherlands), Kuala Lumpur University and Universiti Sains Malaysia (Malaysia), as well as Al-Azhar University (Egypt). In addition, this event was also attended by universities from 15 provinces in Indonesia.
The series of events also featured the National MYOB Competition, which was participated in by schools from five provinces. The first place was won by Tri Ayu Ambarawati (SMK Al-Irsyad Al-Islamiyyah Haurgeulis), followed by Keni (SMKN 3 Bandung) in second place, and Nabila Aulia Hadi (SMKN 1 Bojonggede) in third place. The total prize money distributed reached IDR 5.75 million.
Through this activity, Universitas Widyatama emphasized its role as a leading campus that is adaptive to technological developments and continues to produce accountants who are ready to compete in the AI-based industrial era.
