Bandung, May 28th, 2025 – Universitas Widyatama once again reaffirmed its role as a center for developing young talent through The 6th Widyatama International Competition (WINACTION). This annual international competition was held on Wednesday, May 28th, 2025, at the Widyatama University campus in Bandung, with a total prize pool of IDR 122 million plus scholarship bonuses.
WINACTION is a competition open to high school students, university students, and the general public. This year, there were 20 competition categories, covering the fields of academics, arts, culture, and technology. This event was not only a competition, but also a means of collaboration and exchange of ideas between young people from various regions and backgrounds.
The opening ceremony was solemn, beginning with the singing of the Indonesian national anthem, a prayer, and the reading of the competition decree by the Vice Rector I for Academic and Student Affairs. Present at the event were the leadership of the Foundation and the University, as well as the Head of LLDIKTI Region 4 West Java and Banten, who gave a speech.
In his speech, the Rector of Universitas Widyatama, Prof. Dr. Dadang Suganda, M.Hum., expressed his appreciation for the participants’ participation and the role of the committee who had worked hard to make this event a success.
“WINACTION is not just a competition, but a proving ground that shows that Indonesia’s young generation is capable of competing globally, both in academic and non-academic fields. We at Universitas Widyatama are proud to be able to facilitate the development of this potential,” said Prof. Dadang.
The event was also liven up by a performance from WINNER (Widyatama Cabaret Club), which provided excitement and entertainment for all participants and invited guests. The event continued with a group photo as a symbol of collaboration and unity, before the participants competed in the final round.
The competition venues were adjusted according to the needs of each category. The Modern Dance, Vocal Group, and Band competitions were held at the Multipurpose Building (GSG), while Mobile Legends took place in the Seminar Room on the 6th floor of Building B. Meanwhile, other categories were held in various classrooms and the Univesitas Widytama Theater.
The 6th WINACTION successfully created a healthy and inspiring competitive atmosphere. Through this activity, Universitas Widytama continues to encourage the emergence of a generation that is superior, innovative, and ready to answer the challenges of the future.
