The Indonesian National Qualifications Framework (KKNI) is an embodiment of the quality and identity of the Indonesian correlated to the national education system, national job training systems and national assessment of learning outcomes, which are property of Indonesia to produce quality and productive national human resources. Universities as an institution producing human resources need to upgrade the learning curriculum according to the demands of the era. The curriculum is developed to produce superior graduates and are ready to compete in the work field area according to the demands of society. Building on the excellence of students, the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education continues to strive to develop a curriculum with an IQF standard.
To support the program, Widyatama University Language Faculty held a Curriculum Review Workshop on Tuesday, July 16, 2019. The Faculty of Language which covered two study programs, English department and the Japanese Language Study Program formulated the KKNI standard curriculum. The workshop carried out the theme “Implementation of English and Japanese Language Study Program Curriculum in accordance with the KKNI Level”.
The workshop keynote speakers were H. Herman Rukmanadi (Director of Bhara Tour & Travel) for English Language Study Program and Dra. Sri Dewiyagnti, M.Ed., M.A. (Head of UPT Language POLBAN). While in Japanese Language Study Program, the workshop was attended by Dr. Herniwati, M.Pd. (Head of Japanese Language Study Program UPI Bandung) and Aswandi, M.Sc (Director of PT. Aun Wahana Jaya, PT Olympia Kogyou Indonesia) as the keynote speakers.
