Widyatama Establishes Cooperation with Tribun and E-Trading

Widyatama University (UTama) has established a partnership with PT Bandung Media Grafika (Tribun Jabar Daily Newspaper) in various activities related to External Networking and Business Community Development. The cooperation agreement or MoU was signed directly by the Rector of Widyatama University, Dr. Mame S. Sutoko Ir. DEA, and the Head of PT. Bandung Media Grafika, Pitoyo, at the Widyatama Campus on Jalan Cikutra on Thursday (11/11).

This cooperation aims to create synergy between higher education institutions, government agencies, community organizations, the business world, and industry in a forum for communication and consultation between each party. Additionally, it seeks to create a platform for sharing information regarding the implementation of the Tridharma of Higher Education, namely education, research, and community service, so that it can be used as a vehicle to improve the performance of higher education institutions. “Our hope is that this cooperation will not only stop at the MoU, but will be followed by practical implementation,” said Mame.

Pitoyo said that Tribun Jabar has established many partnerships with various parties, including business units in the city of Bandung. The partnership with Widyatama University, he said, was the starting point for the exchange of ideas on various matters, especially in the world of science. “Tribun is here to enlighten, and one of the institutions that can contribute to this enlightenment is higher education. We hope this collaboration can generate innovative new ideas,” he said.

On this occasion, an MoU was also signed between Widyatama and E-Trading, a company engaged in the stock exchange. Through this collaboration, E-Trading can provide training and education on the stock exchange to Widyatama students. Moreover, Widyatama itself already has the Widyatama Stock Exchange Corner as a place for students to practice the stock exchange. (tribun12/11)
