Widyatama University Bandung has once again been recognized as a university with high quality standards, as evidenced by the request for a TWINNING PROGRAM in collaboration to produce bachelor’s degree graduates for transfer students from the D3 GEOMATIKA COLLEGE INTERNATIONAL program in KUALA LUMPUR MALAYSIA, an educational institution in Malaysia that has a good reputation in its country.
The Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for this cooperation is a follow-up to the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed in August 2009, which covers bachelor’s degree teaching activities for Malaysian students transferring to the Widyatama campus in Bandung, in the Bachelor of Management, Accounting, Informatics, and English Study Programs. In addition, an MOA will also be signed with De La Salle Lipa University, Philippines. Ten delegates from De La Salle Lipa will be present, consisting of Rector Br. Manuel Pajarillo, PhD, Director of International Affairs Mr. Arnold Capuloy, Vice Rector Dr. Corazon, Deans, Lecturers, and students.
The signing took place at the Widyatama University campus on Friday, October 16, 2009, in the seminar room on the 4th floor of the Rectorate Building, by the Heads of Study Programs from Widyatama University with the parties included as an integral part of the MOU. The cooperation discussed in detail the implementation and approval of student exchanges, faculty exchanges, joint research between countries and regions, credit earnings per semester, twinning programs, and joint international conferences for world-class researcher and entrepreneur associations in 2009. This cooperation initiative came from DE LA SALLE LIPA and GEOMATIKA COLLEGE INTERNATIONAL. This shows that the quality standards of Widyatama University are recognized not only in Indonesia.
Widyatama has implemented a 2+2 International Program with TROY STATE UNIVERSITY in the USA, which also collaborates with PUTRA INTERNATIONAL COLLEGE in Malacca, Malaysia. An International Program that is increasingly recognized by students and prospective students. Student enrollment in this International Program has been running smoothly for 3 years, and has sent students who are able to compete with other students when joining in Malacca. Other collaborations have been established with various other universities in Malaysia, Germany, France, and others.*** (Petrina Faustine)
