Bandung, Universitas Widyatama – The Village Government of Desa Baru, Manggar District, East Belitung Regency, Bangka Belitung Islands Province, visited Universitas Widyatama to express their appreciation for the Nusantara Community Service Program (KKN) conducted by the university’s students in their village. The meeting highlighted the positive contributions of the students, including one of their flagship innovations: a dropout detection system.
The Village Head of Desa Baru stated that the system has helped the village identify children who require special attention in education. This innovation is part of the efforts of Universitas Widyatama students to support the social welfare and educational advancement of the village community. The system is expected to play a significant role in reducing school dropout rates and assist the village government in monitoring the educational progress of local children.
Universitas Widyatama welcomed the appreciation and reaffirmed its commitment to supporting empowerment programs like this.
