The Universitas Widyatama 2025 Graduation Ceremony Batch 1 for the 2025/2026 Academic Year, held at the Harris Hotel & Convention Festival Citylink Bandung on Saturday, November 22nd, 2025, was a historic moment for 1,093 graduates. The event, divided into two sessions from 8:00 AM to 11:30 AM and 1:30 PM to 4:00 PM, marked the graduation of the first doctoral degree recipients from the Management Science Program, while also solidifying Universitas Widyatama’s position as an accredited university with the highest accreditation rating in West Java, increasingly recognized at the national and Asian levels.

This graduation ceremony was attended by 1 graduate from the Doctoral Program in Management Science from the Graduate School, 171 graduates from the Master’s Program, including 119 graduates from the Master of Management program and 52 graduates from the Master of Accounting program, as well as 784 graduates from various undergraduate programs. Among them were graduates from the Accounting, Management, International Trade, Industrial Engineering, Informatics, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, English, Japanese, and Library and Information Science study programs. In addition, there were 89 graduates from the Applied Bachelor’s Program (D4) from the Graphic Design and Film and Television Production study programs, as well as 48 graduates from the Associate Degree Program (D3) from the Accounting, Management, Japanese, and Multimedia study programs.
In the middle of a sea of graduation gowns and emotional smiles, the outstanding graduates became the center of attention. At the master’s level, Shanti Pramelia from the Master of Management Study Program achieved a perfect GPA of 4.00 with the title of best graduate and an A for her thesis. At the bahelor degree level, Refita Trya Agustin from the Japanese Study Program achieved a GPA of 3.98 with an A for her final project. For the Applied Bachelor’s Program, Mariana Renata from the Graphic Design Study Program achieved a GPA of 3.93, while in the Associate’s Program, Wineu Cahyati from the Management Study Program recorded a GPA of 3.95, both with an A for their final projects.
Achievement is not only reflected in numbers, but also in the speed of study. Sofyan Iskandar from the Master of Management program was named the fastest graduate of the master’s program with a study period of 1 year, 6 months, and 22 days. At the bachelor degree level, Muhammad Rizky Fahreza from the Management Study Program was named the fastest graduate with a study period of 3 years, 6 months, and 9 days. Meanwhile, in the Diploma 3 Management Program, Keysa Noor Auzora Nashia completed her studies in exactly 3 years. The youngest graduate came from the Informatics Engineering Study Program, namely Khaerani Ulfah, who graduated at the age of 21 years and 28 days, adding color to the series of inspiring stories at this graduation ceremony.
In his speech, the Rector of Widyatama University, Prof. Dr. Dadang Suganda, M.Hum., emphasized that this graduation was not just a routine ceremony. “Today we gather in an atmosphere full of joy and pride to celebrate the graduation of diploma, applied bachelor’s, bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral programs. This is not just an academic ceremony, but a monumental moment in a new journey that will determine the future of the graduates, the future of the business world and industry, and the future of the nation and country we love,” he said.
The Rector also pointed out the presence of doctoral program graduates as a new chapter in the history of the campus. According to him, this ceremony was the first milestone in which Universitas Widyatama produced graduates of the Doctoral Program in Management Science. “Your achievements today are the fruits of your perseverance, discipline, and fighting spirit to learn throughout your lives. Behind this success are also the prayers and family support that never ceased,” he continued, inviting the audience to give their appreciation to the parents and families of the graduates.
The faces of outstanding graduates and humanistic stories from a leading campus
As an accredited university with a vision to become a leading and independent university in Indonesia by 2028, Universitas Widyatama continues to strengthen itself through a curriculum that is responsive to the business and industrial worlds. The rector explained that the campus continues to expand its collaboration with domestic and foreign institutions, develop applied research through living lab activities, and strengthen digital-based services and modern governance. He also mentioned that the campus has been included in the QS World University Rankings Asia 2025, confirming Universitas Widyatama’s competitiveness in the regional arena.
However, amid academic achievements and international reputation, Prof. Dadang reminded that the success of graduates is not only determined by grades and degrees. He stressed the importance of “street smarts” as a complement to intellectual and emotional intelligence. “So we already have intellectual intelligence, we already have emotional intelligence, but street smarts is a teacher, a new science, a new theory that we can use to solve real-life problems,” he said. He encouraged graduates to continue learning relentlessly, uphold integrity, build networks, dare to try and not be afraid of failure, and become ambassadors for Universitas Widyatama wherever they work.
The humanistic atmosphere of the campus was also evident in the story of Dhiyah Fauziah, a graduate of the Film and Television Production (FTV) Study Program. For her, the closeness between lecturers and students was the most memorable experience during her studies. “In FTV itself, the bond between lecturers and students is really close. The most memorable and cherished moments were hanging out with lecturers, joking around with them in the study program room, and working together with lecturers and students,” said Dhiyah. She also advised her juniors to dare to start and experiment, because being a student is the best time to try new things without fear of failure.
Dhiyah’s happiness was also felt by her mother, who was present to accompany her on graduation day. With tears in her eyes, her mother expressed her emotion and pride. “I’m so happy, I feel emotional, I’m so happy. My hope for you is that you will always be successful, happy, and joyful, and that you will continue to work hard and never tire of creating,” she said. Such family support is what the Rector refers to as the crucial foundation for graduates’ success as they embark on the next phase of their lives.
