Lecturer at the Faculty of Business & Management, Widyatama University, Nugroho Setiadi Phd., successfully passed the selection process and became the representative from Asia to present his paper at the International Network of Business and Management Journal (www.inbam.net) conference on June 1-4, 2010 in Valencia, Spain. Widyatama University was the representative from Asia, apart from China, at the conference, which was attended by researchers in the field of business and management from 17 countries. The majority of participating universities were from Europe and America. Nugroho successfully presented his paper entitled Role of Liking and Perceived Contribution on The Relationship Between Personality and Creative Behavior Among Indonesia Radio Broadcasters.
The International Network of Business and Management (INBAM) is a conference initiated and held by the Universitat de València and the Universidad Politécnica de Valencia in Spain with the aim of opening up networks and forming a forum for communication and cooperation between international journals in order to encourage the production of high-quality research and scientific articles by researchers in the field of business and management at various universities and research institutions.
At the conference held in Spain’s third largest city, eight leading journal editors were present, namely Robert Blackburn (International Small Business Journal), David Audretsch (Small Business Economics), Theresa Welbourne (Human Resource Management), Slawek Magala (Journal of Organizational Change Management), Gary Akehurst (Service Industries Journal), Adrian Ziderman (International Journal of Manpower), Rick D. Hackett (Canadian Journal of Administrative Sciences), and Linda Canina (Cornell Hospitality Quarterly).
In addition to presenting various scientific articles that had passed the selection process, each editor also gave a presentation on the stages and guidelines for researchers to have their scientific articles published in leading journals. The participation of Widyatama University teaching staff in the conference is proof of Widyatama University’s commitment to being adaptive to developments in science, technology, and the arts in a global environment.
