On Monday (24/9), Universitas Widyatama (UTama) received an entrepreneurship visit from SMA Negeri 1 Soreang, Bandung Regency. Fifty students led by Mr. Ahmad Hamdani, S.Pd., M.Pd, Deputy Head of School for Curriculum, were welcomed directly by the head and person in charge of Business Community Development (BDC) at Universitas Widyatama, Ismail Solihin, S.E., M.Si, and Head of Marketing Bureau, Mardi S.T.
During this visit, the group from SMA Negeri 1 Soreang wanted to learn about the implementation of education and the entrepreneur development model at Universitas Widyatama. Universitas Widyatama, which is considered a higher education institution with a strong core focus on entrepreneur education, provided a brief coaching session on starting a business to the students of SMAN 1 Soreang.

Due to the high level of student interest in the world of entrepreneurship, SMAN 1 Soreang is developing a coaching program for students who are interested in business¸ we have long known that Universitas Widyatama is concerned with shaping the character of students who are interested in business, and we hope that the program at Universitas Widyatama can be implemented in schools, said Mr. Ahmad.
Meanwhile, in his presentation, Ismail mentioned that the university has a business incubator named Business Community Development. At BCD, students can enhance their entrepreneurial skills by participating in intensive coaching sessions led by entrepreneurship faculty members and industry practitioners in the field of entrepreneurship.

In the coming year, several new programs will be implemented at the BCD Widyatama unit, including collaboration with the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce (Kadin) and guidance in the form of training from the Youth and Sports Agency (Dispora). He added.
After the presentation from Business Community Development, the group from SMAN 1 Soreang was invited to tour the facilities and areas that support entrepreneur activities at Universitas Widyatama. This was followed by a visit to the new Student Activity Center building. The Student Activity Center Building serves as a facility and resource supporting student organizations, student associations, and the hub for all Student Activity Units (UKM), equipped with various sports facilities.
