The Information Technology Student Association, in collaboration with the Information Technology Study Program and one of Indonesia’s leading cellular providers, held a public lecture entitled Technopreneurship: The First Steps in Building a Software House on Wednesday (12/29).

The speaker was Ferry Budiansyah, head of the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Innovation Center of the Agency for the Assessment and Application of Technology (PI UMKM BPPT), at the seminar room on the 6th floor of Graha Widyatama. Technopreneurship is a term that combines technology and entrepreneurship, so it can be said that technopreneurs are entrepreneurs in the field of technology.

Separately, Benny Yustim, head of the Informatics Engineering study program, said that entrepreneurship in the field of technology has good and very broad prospects, given the rapid development of information technology (IT), which requires people who understand this technology. By collaborating with entrepreneurs, it is hoped that students can continue to develop their scientific abilities and hone their entrepreneurial skills to market products that are ready for application. ***
