Results of the 2015 Phase II Lecturer Certification

On Wednesday (12/23) at 8:00 p.m. WIB, the results of the 2015 Phase II Certification were announced simultaneously through the official website http://serdos.dikti.go.id/. At this stage, twelve permanent lecturers from Widyatama University, spread across several available study programs, successfully passed and obtained professional certification as lecturers. Of the lecturers who applied for certification, six did not pass and five did not complete their portfolios.

Faculty certification is the process of awarding educator certificates to faculty members. This program by the Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education aims to improve the quality of national education and enhance faculty welfare by encouraging faculty to continuously enhance their professionalism.

The requirements for applying for educator certification are as follows:

1. Have at least a master’s degree/equivalent from an accredited postgraduate program;
2. be a permanent lecturer at a state university or a DPK lecturer at a university organized by the community or a permanent lecturer at a foundation at a university organized by the community who has obtained inpassing from an official authorized by the Minister of Education (article 4 of the Minister of National Education Regulation Number 20 of 2008);
3. has at least two years of work experience at a university where he/she works as a permanent lecturer;
4. holds an academic position of at least Assistant Expert;
5. carries out the Tridharma of higher education with a workload of at least 12 (twelve) credits per semester at the university where he/she works as a permanent lecturer. Additional duties of lecturers as leadership elements within the university are calculated in credit hours according to applicable regulations;

Based on the results of the 2015 Phase II Lecturer Certification, a total of eighty lecturers from Widyatama University were certified, or approximately thirty percent. This achievement will continue with the hope that all lecturers at Widyatama University will be certified.
