Master of Accounting Program Wins BOAPS

On Wednesday (16/12), the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education announced the list of universities that passed the selection for Program Study Accreditation Operational Assistance, or BOAPS for short, on its website http://www.dikti.go.id/. Among the 296 higher education institutions in Indonesia, both private and public, that successfully passed the selection, the Master of Accounting Program (MAKSI) at Widyatama University is included.

The Study Program Accreditation Operational Assistance Grant Program is one of the programs of the Directorate General of Learning and Student Affairs of the Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education in an effort to encourage universities to implement quality assurance and to create good institutional management of study programs towards excellent accreditation. The requirements for participating in the “Operational Assistance for Program Study Accreditation” program are as follows:

  • study programs that already have operating permits;
  • study programs whose accreditation is about to expire; and
  • study programs that are ready for accreditation.

Accreditation for higher education institutions is one of the requirements for enhancing their credibility in the world of education. The accreditation process is time-consuming and requires patience and awareness from higher education administrators. In relation to this accreditation, the Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education of the Republic of Indonesia is offering operational assistance for program accreditation in 2015. The achievements of WIdyatama University are a challenge for the institution to carry out this mandate to the best of its ability.
